Justices Rip ObamaCare Lawyers On Health Law
The Supreme Court's five conservative justices tore into the Obama administration's arguments for the health care law. Sean played a clip of Justice Anthony Kennedy saying the government has a "very heavy burden of justification" for the measure's requirement that people carry health insurance or pay a penalty. "The ObamaCare lawyers were nearly laughed out of court when they tried to defend the individual mandate," Sean said kicking off Tuesday's show. "You're not going to hear what happened today at the Supreme Court often in your life. Two of the justice's needled a top Obama lawyer for simultaneously calling the fine that will be paid under the law for not purchasing insurance a 'penalty' and a 'tax.'" Listen here to Justice Elena Kagan asking whether refusing to buy insurance would constitute breaking the law. Sean told his audience that he thinks the Obama administration is starting to go into panic mode over how negatively the Supreme Court has looked at the ObamaCare legislation. For the second day in a row, Attorney General Eric Holder and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius were in the courtroom. A number of prominent lawmakers from Capitol Hill were also in attendance. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and major supporter of the law, looked concerned over the questions Kennedy asked.

Witness Reportedly Saw Martin Beating Zimmerman Before Shooting
New developments have emerged in the tragic case of Trayvon Martin, the teenager who was shot and killed in Florida by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch member. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Zimmerman told police that Trayvon climbed on top of him and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloodied and battered and with a broken nose, and his lawyer says that only one side of the story is being reported. Sean spoke with Shannon Butler of Orlando Fox 35, the only reporter to have interviewed the eye witness in the Martin shooting. "The witness I think you're referring to is John, and John is the one that said that he actually saw the scuffle between the two other people that we interviewed said they heard the screams, they knew there was some kind of confrontation. But this guy told us that he actually saw what he said was Trayvon Martin on top of George Zimmerman beating him, and that's when he called 911. He said, Zimmerman was actually saying to him please help me, plea se help me," Butler described. You can watch Sean's entire interview with Shannon Butler by clicking here.
How Bad Does It Look For ObamaCare?
Dr. Cathleen London and Frmr. Lt. Gov. Dr. Betsy McCaughey joined Sean on the NewsMaker Hotline to discuss the ongoing Supreme Court hearings on ObamaCare. The cornerstone of Obama's health care reform law appeared to be in serious jeopardy after oral arguments at the US Supreme Court on the constitutionality of the law’s individual mandate. Dr. Cathleen London agreed that today's proceedings did not bode will for ObamaCare. "If the government can compel you to buy health insurance to solve a national problem, why can't they force you to buy a GM car to rescue Detroit, or stocks or bonds to prop up Wall Street? Is there any limit to what the Federal Government can force you to buy or do?" Dr. London asked. How can Congress repeal Obamacare without 60 votes in the Senate? It won't matter if the President and both houses of Congress want to repeal it. Without 60 votes in the Senate it won't go away.
