WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED * Ann Romney doesn't agree with her husband, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, on everything. She told Fox News in an interview airing Thursday that "I don't think we're ever exactly on the same page one hundred percent" but "I completely support 90 percent of where Mitt is." * Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said today that he would not use campaign funds to pay for the criminal defense of former campaign aides caught up in a John Doe probe. The governor, who faces a recall election on June 5, recently transferred $100,000 from his campaign account to a defense fund; he said it was to send documents to the Milwaukee District Attorney. * A federal judge has issued a $17 million judgment against House candidate Danny Tarkanian and his family in a legal battle over California real estate. Tarkanian, a Republican running for Nevada's new 4th district House seat who lost the 2010 Senate primary, will appeal. He faces eight other contenders in the June 12 primary. Nevada Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford is the Democratic candidate for the Democratic-leaning seat. * Former Florida governor Jeb Bush will not be former Romney's running mate, a spokeswoman said today. A supposed interview with Bush in an Italian newspaper stoked new speculation about his interest, but Jaryn Emhof told Yahoo News that no interview occurred and "Bush will not be candidate for VP." WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T MISS * Democratic Governors Association Chairman Martin O'Malley of Maryland is headed to Wisconsin tomorrow to campaign with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D). Some Wisconsin Democrats have complained that the national party is not investing enough in this race. * President Obama called Romney today to congratulate him on winning the Texas GOP primary, a victory that gave Romney enough delegates to secure his party's nomination. It was their first conversation since the general election began in earnest. * Both New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former New York Mayor Ed Koch have endorsed embattled Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) in his primary against state Sen. Adriano Espaillat.Thanks to redistricting, the veteran congressman is facing his toughest reelection campaign yet. * Kevin Smith (R) is the first gubernatorial candidate in New Hampshire on the air. He's going up with a 60-second radio ad that will run for several weeks. The conservative activist, who faces lawyer Ovide Lamontagne in the GOP primary, has hired veteran consultant Alicia Preston to handle communications.
