Dewhurst and Cruz headed for runoff in Texas Senate race


Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and former solicitor general Ted Cruz are headed for a two-man runoff in the Texas Republican primary race to replace Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

Dewhurst fell just shy of 50 percent of the vote Tuesday and seven other candidates split it enough to push the two into a runoff.
