Pepco's storm response inadequate, most D.C. residents say


A majority of D.C. residents are unhappy with the utility's performance following June's violent storms, but they are at odds over paying to bury power lines to prevent future outages, a Washington Post poll finds. The unwillingness of ratepayers to substantially contribute to the cost complicates the debate over putting more lines underground — a notion that has gained favor since the storm but remains costly.
