The Sudden Death of Feticide

Abortion-on-demand proposals on ballots in November, 1971, in Michigan and North Dakota were defeated and New York's legislature repealed its liberal abortion law (although Governor Rockefeller vetoed the bill.) Russell Kirk predicted that the campaign for legalized abortion was too unpopular to gain traction. One month later the Supreme Court took the matter out of the states' hands.
