Tax Debate Sean kicked off Friday’s show with the not-so-shocking news that Mitt Romney does pay taxes. “Oh no Mitt Romney released his taxes,” laughed Hannity, “Oh look, he’s paid nearly $2 million in investment income taxes, which usually means it’s already been taxed once.” “Romney donated $4 million to charities last year,” continued Hannity, “Wow, Joe Biden I think gave $300, I guess liberals are only generous with other people’s money.” “Wait, there’s more,” pushed Hannity, “Over the last twenty years Romney paid an average of 20% in taxes.” Through the last twenty years, long before there was any ambition to be President, Romney has donated to charity. With all the attacks on Governor Romney being an out-of-touch millionaire who doesn’t pay taxes, it’s pretty clear that the candidate has paid millions.
