Hurricane Sandy Hammers The Northeast
Sean, broadcasting from his New York Studios smack in the middle of Hurricane Sandy, kicked off Monday’s show by talking to chief meteorologist Joe Bastardi of WeatherBell.com. "Sandy is a storm whose magnitude has not been seen in this century," Bastardi explained. Bastardi tweeted out a picture of Atlantic city { Photo} that showed the dramatic five foot storm surge that threatens to flood the entire city { Photo}. Bastardi warned that the highly perpendicular angle at which Sandy is approaching will allow for a far more significant surge event than Hurricane Irene. Joe explained that it is important to take note of the unusually low atmospheric pressure of Hurricane Sandy. Sandy's wind field is not concentrated near the center and hurricane force winds extend over 200 miles from the eye. As a result, significantly more seawater that normal is being driven toward the coast. The central pressure of the storm would be more indicative of a Category 2 or Category 3 hurricane. NOAA is forecasting over 10 feet of storm surge into New York Harbor. Keep in mind that the storm surge during Hurricane Irene was approximately 3.5-4.6ft. Sean called attention to a massive construction crane in NYC that has succumbed to the high winds - collapsing and threatening to plummet to the streets below { Article}. Nearby residents have been evacuated but high winds are preventing workers from climbing up to secure the teetering crane. Down To The Wire In Ohio
Ohio Governor John Kasich has been making the rounds in his battleground state generating support for the Romney/Ryan ticket. Ohio, from the most recent internal polls, has shown a shift towards Mitt Romney in the past few days. Kasich joined Sean on the NewsMaker Hotline to talk about the tight race in his state. Kasich felt that Romney's strong showing at the presidential debates and the amount of face time Romney has given to Ohio voters has contributed to the dramatic shift. "I'm amazed at how much the crowds have grown for Romney/Ryan. People are seeing Mitt Romney in a new light," explained Kasich. "Ohio needs strong leadership and working ideas. Romney understands how important it is to get people back to work," the Ohio governor explained.
Connie Mack Closing Gap With Bill Nelson
Congressman Connie Mack, running for the Senate in his state of Florida, joined Sean in the last hour of the show. According to a new Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9 poll conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, it looks like Mack is gaining on Sen. Bill Nelson. What once seemed like an insurmountable lead has shrunk with Connie Mack now down by only three points, 47 percent to 44 percent, to Nelson. Mack discussed his "Penny Plan" which would balance the federal budget by 2019. Mr. Mack's bill, H.R. 1848, would cut one penny out of every dollar actually spent by the federal government from year to year for the next six years, from FY 2012-FY 2017. Mack continues to support the Romney/Ryan ticket and knows that the conservative concepts of both candidates are what will get people back to work. "Freedom, security and prosperity are that which are most important for our American citizens," Mack explained. Mack would like to defund the UN, which he believes places the United States on the bottom of the totem pole. Sean encouraged his listeners to support the efforts of conservative candidates like Connie Mack, who will take try to take the power of the Senate from the destructive Harry Reid.

Today's "Hot Topic" From The Hannity Forums:
I will be proudly voting AGAINST the death penalty - TrueBeliever

I did a lot of soul-searching and research into this. I used to be the type who used to think capital punishment was justified. But, after I actually spoke to priests and read about, I realized how wrong I had been. My church is vehemently against the death penalty. One passage that struck me as very powerful...
