Sean's Debate Reaction May Surprise You
Tuesday, October 23rd | |
"In the beginning of the debate, I was somewhat frustrated, aggravated and even annoyed. Throughout the course of last night's debate I went through a whole bunch of emotions," Sean said opening Tuesday's show. "But what I concluded, later in the night, when I figured the whole thing out, was that the Romney campaign is confident in their position and all they wanted to do was meet the standard commander-in-chief test," Sean continued. "Romney wanted to show America that he was serious, sober, clear-minded and intelligent on every front." What the Romney campaign did not want, was a silly, tit-for-tat back and forth with Barack Obama. "Everything these campaigns do is strategic, and this was planned out in advance. This was part of an overall strategy that Mitt Romney was not going to allow Barack Obama to portray him as something he is not." Maybe the boxing term "rope-a-dope" would be appropriate for how Romney handle d last night's debate. "As the night wore on I think Obama came across as childish in the end," Sean added. You also need to consider how Romney went into last night's debate - he had all the momentum. "Romney came across as calm, knowledgeable and reassuring and unusually agreeable to Barack Obama. This was a strategy...a tactic. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds and whether this was the right decision or not," said Sean. Palin: Debate Filled With 'Untruths Spewed By Obama' Sean was joined by joined by former Alaska Governor, Fox News contributor Sarah Palin to discuss last night's final presidential debate. Palin felt many questions on Obama's foreign policy remained after the debate concluded. "There are still so many questioned, un-answered as to Obama's foreign policy. Why did he capitulate with Russia on the new START Treaty? Why did he not go after Putin and other Russian leaders for their flagging of underwater off-shore bases that have many, many minerals and energy supplies that really don't belong to Russia?" Palin asked. The former governor also felt Obama was not truthful on numerous topics. "Obama claimed that we are -- suggested that we are more energy secure today than we've ever been. He claims that we have better in relationships with all those on an international stage, including Israel, than ever, before he was elected. Those are not true claims." Today's "Hot Topic" From The Hannity Forums: Third Debate: Krauthammer's Take - Neo-Indie Yes, Krauty is the smartest guy in either room, left or right. And he is correct- Romney did win. Romney came off as the President, and Obama as a young challenger not mature enough to unseat Romney's dominance. It's difficult to understand why even many righties say that Obama may have won on points, or issues, because Obama gave the same tired 'vision with no details', and Romney gave some (not many) details. But at least Romney showed SOME knowledge of the subjects, unlike Obama who showed very little knowledge of the subjects. >> TV Tonight (Hannity FoxNews at 9pm ET): Did President Obama make his case on foreign policy? Or did Mitt Romney come out on top? We have full analysis with Rudy Giuliani, Herman Cain and Reince Priebus tonight on 'Hannity'. |
