We Need More Liebermans

What are you Thankful for?
“There’s much to be thankful for this week and none of that is politically related,” laughed Hannity, “you never know, what is that Garth Brooks’ song ‘Unanswered Prayers’, we will withstand though.” Sean continued, “I’ve always said that elections should not define who you are as a person, you have a greater impact on your children and the people they become.” Sean took a slightly different direction and spent some time focused on Paul Krugman’s article in the NY Times, “The Twinkie Manifest,” where the author opined that it would be great to return to the 91% tax margin, essentially arguing that in the 1950s it was okay to tax the wealthiest and it helped to create moral equity in the country. Sean completely disagreed. “There are two presidents most identified with lowering the top marginal rates, one was Jack Kennedy who talked about ‘rising tides lifting all boa ts’ and Reagan did the same thing,” offered Hannity, “If you want to do the best thing for the economy, I’d get rid of the capital gains tax.” “If you save throughout your entire lifetime and you pay income taxes and then you die,” continued Hannity, “How did we let liberals hijack the narrative of who is greedy when it’s the politicians themselves that are greedy.” To read Krugman’s article, click here.

Senator Joe Lieberman: Israel Should Defend Itself
Sean was joined by Senator Joe Lieberman to talk about the tensions in Israel and how we should be focused on supporting our allies in the Middle East. “What do you think of the President’s statement that Israel has a right to defend themselves but is urging them to find a peaceful solution,” began Hannity. “Hamas is a terrorist organization intent on destroying Israel,” offered Lieberman, “Thanks to their own skill, the Israeli army has knocked out the arsenal of missiles that Hammas had in Gaza and this isn’t a negotiation between two armies of equal virtue, this is part of the larger conflict between Iran and the rest of us.” Hannity continued, “Hammas is getting support from Iran, they’ll get more reinforcements from Iran.” “Hamas was going to be the first counter-strike to Israel if Iran were hit by the US or Israel and now a lot of that firepower is gone,” offered Lieberman. Senator Lieb erman is making his last rounds in Washington and as he gets ready to part after retiring from the Senate, the Hartford Courier’s David Gergen wrote a great op-ed, “ Why We Need More Joe Lieberman’s,” and Sean is certainly one to argue that couldn’t be more true than ever.
Colonel Oliver North: Heroes Proved
Benghazi Scandal Tightens Sean spent some time talking about Oliver North’s eerily predictive new book, “Heroes Proved,” which details a fictional scenario; it’s the year 2032 and the NRA has been outlawed, the military gutted and conservative Christians are labeled activists, the White House is occupied by a progressive regime who’s focused on the upcoming election,” began Hannity, “Where did you get all this from?” “It starts out with a terror attack with an administration that lies about who did it, sound familiar,” laughed North, “I don’t have the gift of prophecy but I certainly hope the rest of this doesn’t come through.” “This is a wake-up call,” a more serious North explained, “Hopefully people will take some courage from this and reengage in this process because what’s happening in this world, not just in that novel, is very dangerous.” During the Than ksgiving holiday, if you haven’t already, you should definitely check out Colonel North’s book, “Heroes Proved” and let it be an entertaining glimpse into what America’s future could be if we’re not careful in the decisions we make. Unanswered Prayers - Posted by Frogman2
So I was listening to the show this afternoon and Sean talked about "unanswered prayers" and Garth Brooks' famous song.  It got me thinking, what a great way to look at what happened in November.  There are pundits galore talking about why the GOP is never going to win another election and how conservative thinking is pretty much a thing of the past and I started to get down, but then I heard Sean say that and I started thinking to myself, it's not that bad.  It's not that bad...

Is an Israeli attack on Gaza inevitable?  Sean has the latest.
