'Tis The Season
Happy Holidays | |
“In your book, “ Art of the Deal”, you have always said you need to always be willing to walk away from a deal at any point,” praised Sean, “The Republicans went into these negotiations with exactly the opposite attitude of fear.” “I’m not happy with the deal that the Republicans made,” shot back Hannity, “The worst part of the deal was that this issue isn’t coming due again until after the election so they’re doing the lame duck thing again.” Hannity pressed Sean again, “Have you ever negotiated against yourself?” Trump laughed and offered this, “The Republicans say there won’t be any tax increases but what’s going to happen to the Bush tax cuts?” It’s pretty clear that the GOP should’ve consulted Mr. Trump on negotiation tactics before closing the deal on the debt ceiling talks. Tea Party Massacre Sean was joined by Congressman David Schweikert to discuss recent House leadership movements that were made this week that adversely impacted certain Republican members. “Apparently House leaders used a secret criteria list to decide which members to purge from various committees,” began Hannity as Congressman Schweikert joined the show, “Why are you, Congressman Schweikert, losing your coveted committee assignment?” “On occasion there’s a price to be paid but I voted my principles,” quickly responded Schweikert, “Look, Washington DC is a rough place but hey, there’s no crying in baseball.” “My instinct is that this is complicated,” continued Schweikert, “There are a number of folks who have stood up to the spending bills and those are the members who’ve gotten spanked here.” “So these are mostly Tea Party members,” pressed Hannity, “Is that true?” “I&rs quo;m going to go beyond Tea Party,” explained Schweikert, “There are a bunch of conservatives.” “This is more than a committee assignment,” continued Schweikert, “I’d be happy to be tossed aside if I could convince the American people that we care about Medicaid, debt spending and all but their growth is unsustainable.” “I’m not looking for a carbon copy of the liberals,” expanded Hannity. Senator Marco Rubio Sean was joined by Senator Marco Rubio who made headlines earlier this month with his remarks to the Jack Kemp Foundation at their annual award dinner. “I don’t think this is the time to be talking about 2016,” laughed Hannity, “There is usually a time of governing after an election but I don’t see that from President Obama, he’s out on the campaign trail.” “I think the President is viewing this as an opportunity to continue his campaign,” agreed Rubio, “But the biggest concern is that his public policy is just bad, I don’t care much about polls, his policy is just bad.” “I wish Republicans would articulate this message,” positioned Hannity, “When you look at the numbers, and the wealthy were forced to pay their ‘fair share’, the government would be funded for an extra eight days.” “What’s the point,” agreed Rubio, “Is this just another trophy in the liberal trophy case?” It does seem, as Washington continue to battle over the fiscal cliff, that certain parties are more concerned with the victory than the cause. Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: What Do Y'All Think is Really Gonna Happen in 2016? - Posted by Spaceman Spiff I mean, silly me, I think we'll have a regular election cycle with way too many political ads on tv, some guy/gal will win, just under the population will be ****ed off about it, then that person will be sworn in in January, and Obama will move on out and make a bunch of money on the speech circuit. I ask because I see so many threads about police states, storm troopers, dictatorial takeovers and yadda, yadda, yadda... So, what do YOU guys/gals think? >>TV Tonight (9pm ET on Fox) Sean is off but the folks from Fox and Friends will be running their Christmas Special. Check it out! |
