F16s to Egypt:  This Is Crazy
Sean spent some time this week covering the crazy story that the Obama Administration is giving F16 fighter jets and Abram tanks to Egypt as part of a 2010 diplomatic deal. Sean sat down with former Air Force pilot, Captain Scott O’Grady, who was shot down in 1995 over Bosnia, to get his thoughts on the diplomatic deal that seems so crazy. “How do you begin to understand the rationale of giving our best jets to terrorists,” began Hannity, “They’re claiming the President can’t go back because he made a deal but he had no problem backing out of the Canadian pipeline deal.” “The Egyptian military is the one respected institution in the country,” suggested O’Grady, “The generals have all been replaced by those who’re supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood and why we want to aide our enemies confuses me.” “You’ve said the M1A1 Abrams tanks is the part that scares you the most about this dea l,” a surprised Hannity asked, ” You flew F16s, so that surprised me.” “The F16 is a formidable weapon but I’m confident in Israel’s air defense system,” explained O’Grady, “The 200 Abrams tanks, though, would be a threat to Israel’s southern flank and I don’t think we should allow that to happen.” Captain O’Grady has been critical of this deal and, rightfully so, he knows first-hand what the F16 can do. We should listen to him. To watch Sean’s interview with Captain O’Grady, click here.

Senator Bob Menendez In Trouble?

Sean kicked off Wednesday’s show with the controversial news that New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez was involved with a prostitute. The investigation is focused around Senator Menendez’ relationship with Dr. Salomon Melgen, a Floridian doctor with over 11 million dollars in back taxes owed. “Why do I think that, if this were me, I’d be walked all over the place,” laughed Hannity, “The mainstream media is just starting to pick up on this.” “This is bad news for Democrats because Menendez was their point man on immigration reform,” continued Hannity, “We’ll continue to monitor this story and will bring more to you.” For more information on this story, click here
Austan Goolsbee
Sean’s friend and former economic advisor to President Obama debate the GDP news that shows the economy is shrinking. “These were bad numbers,” acknowledged Goolsbee as the conversation kicked off, “If you look at the GDP number, people thought it was going to be low, less than 2%, but the thing that was surprisingly bad is that the government shrunk so much faster and brought the entire GDP down.” “You want to break out the number because it’s so bad,” agreed Hannity, “Just ten days ago President Obama was saying that we’re on our way to an economic recovery but these numbers aren’t reflecting that.” “This number stopped in December,” sarcastically answered Goolsbee, “So we’ve had a great ten days.” “The economy went way down but it has come back,” argued Goolsbee, “If you have a bubble pop like we did with the internet bubble in 2000 and the housing bu bble we had recently, there isn’t a V-shape recovery because you can’t go back to what you were doing.” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney tried to put a nice spin on today’s news acknowledging that the report wasn’t good but the economy can “continue to grow.” Take a look here.

What Are We Doing? - Posted by Ryco
I need to ask this because it seems, nobody else is.  What are we doing?  Did we learn NOTHING from Afghanistan circa 1980?  We are about to ship off some $800 million dollars worth of M1A1 tanks to an Egyptian government that we're "pretty sure" still likes us while also sending them a billion dollars and we'll throw in some advanced F16 fighter jets as well.  On face value, that seems absolutely insane.  Is this a goodwill mission?  If so, I'd rather just give them the $800 million and let them decide to buy tanks with them, or food or anything else.  Do we really need to give them tanks!  I'm missing something, I must be!
