Sean: Obama Has Hit New Level Of Arrogance
Monday, January 28th | |
Sean kicked off a snowy New York Monday discussing an article that appeared over the weekend on NewRepublic.com. In the article the president blamed the media for shaping the debate on national issues. "If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you'll see more of them doing it," Obama was quoted as saying. "But for Fox and talk radio the media is just an extension of the Obama press office," said Sean. "He has everything else! I think this was President Obama's most extraordinary interview I've ever seen. The level of arrogance and self-deception is literally like nothing I have seen in a long, long time," said Sean. "I can't even think of a comparable example." To read the interview head on over to the NewRepublic.com. Army Vet In Wheelchair Scares Off Burglar With Gun In the second hour of Monday's show Sean spoke with wheelchair-bound Army vet Mark Sikes of Bogart, Georgia. Bogart generated national headlines over the weekend when scared away a would be burglar with a pistol. "I reached and got the gun out of my drawer and kind of raised it up," Sikes said. "He took off and ran out the front door." Sikes, who served as a military police officer in Korea, says he's keeping his 9mm pistol close by following the attempted burglary. Sean also spoke with Sheriff David Clarke Jr. who is urging the citizens he protects to also protect themselves with their own firearm. "With officers laid-off and furloughed, simply calling 9-1-1 and waiting is no longer your best option. You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back; but are you prepared? Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there," t he sheriff states in a radio commercial airing in Milwaukee County. "You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We're partners now. Can I count on you?" Clarke Jr. adds. To listen to the sheriff's radio commercial please click here. Welcome to 'BoomTown': Washington, D.C. On 'Hannity' Sean took a close look at the business of government in Washington, D.C. and how it is making a lot of people rich with our hard-earned money. Sean invited Peter Schweizer of the Government Accountability Institute to the program to share his thoughts on D.C. "While one out of every six Americans worries about where their next meal is coming from, Washington, D.C. has the highest rate of fine wine consumption in the United States. While one out of four Americans has a mortgage that is underwater, seven of the 10 wealthiest counties in the United States are counties around this region. Washington, D.C. now has the highest per capita income in the entire United States. They just passed Silicon Valley," Schweizer explained to Sean. This boom town comes, its wealth come from extracting it from the rest of the country. Boom town is something that no one in Washington wants to talk about. When they do they tend to blame the other sid e. But the reality is today that in Washington, D.C., the business is not politics. The business is money.
