Fuel Fix
John Hofmeister, author of "Why We Hate Oil Companies: Straight Talk from an Energy Insider," joined Sean to discuss his grassroots campaign to change the way we look at energy in this country. Hofmeister created an advocacy group, Citizens for Affordable Energy, after leaving his job as President of Shell Oil. Hofmeister believes natural gas is one of many solutions America should look at to solve it's energy problems. Natural gas has drawn increasing interest as a transportation fuel in the midst of the shale production boom, but it has been difficult to translate that into widespread use in the United States. For heavy-duty trucks, the payback - the time it takes for the fuel savings to pay for the cost of conversion - is less than three years, Juden said. At today's prices, liquefied natural gas is about $1 to $1.50 less for an amount containing the same amount of energy as a gallon of diesel. The former Shell president explained that our co untry suffers from a lack of energy leadership. "Partisan politics and the tendency of politicians to make decisions based on the election cycle hampers energy policy. In this industry, to build pipelines, to build facilities, to build storage, you need to think about not two years or four years, you need to think 10 years or 20 years," he said. Obama Pushes "Chaos" Narrative
Barack Obama has only himself to blame for the current sequestration stand-off in Washington. While you likely won't hear it reported in the Obama lap-dog media, the sequester was his idea. While perhaps Obama was genuine in believing that sequestration would never get to this point, he is now willing to use it to his political advantage. There are two reasons for this, both of which result in a political "win" for Obama. The first reason why Obama is willing to push sequestration to this limit is because of his irrational need to raise taxes. Understand this: Barack Obama does not want to increase taxes in order to cut the debt, deficit or the size of government. This is simply lip service he is paying to mask his true agenda of growing the size of government and increasing government spending. Would Automatic Spending Cuts Even Put A Dent In U.S. Debt?
The numbers don't lie. One day after the commander-in-chief unleashed his dire warnings about the looming sequester, Sean dug through the president's apocalyptic warnings and examined the actual numbers behind those cuts and separated fact from fiction. The sequestration as put in place by the budget act of 2011 will force $1.2 trillion in automatic cuts - but that's over 10 years - to both domestic and defense spending. The proposed cuts for 2013 only represent a 2.4 percent reduction in the $3.8 trillion of total 2013 spending. Adding even more perspective, this is less than one-half of one percent of the growing $16.5 trillion federal debt. Obama alleges that our economy will cease to function because after the sequester we're going to be spending only $29 billion less on domestic programs this year. That's out of 3.8 trillion. So, do you know what $29 billion is to the federal government? They spend that every 72 hours! These number showed the true sc ale of the impact of sequestration, it's not what the president is saying. "It proves the president is cherry picking his facts, politicizing the entire situation because he wants to scare you," said Sean. "We can't forget, we're in this mess because the president, he's the one that put us here back in 2011. He's the one that wanted sequestration," Sean added.

Today's "Hot Topic" On The Hannity Forums:
VP Biden's Home Defense Safety Tip "Buy a Shotgun!!!" - F_Rat-46

He encourages people to not only buy a shotgun for home defense, but he says he instructed his wife Jill, if she thinks there is a problem, to take the "Double Barreled" Shotgun out on the balcony and shoot it in the air. Sometimes you just have to wonder. Is this for real, or what? Anyone know what it is?
