Polling: America Weaker
Barack Obama has made America weaker in the eyes of the American public. Brand new Fox News polling shows that 55% of Americans overall believe Obama has made our country weaker. While almost 90% of Republican feel that way, 22% of Democrats also agree that Obama has made us weaker. Of independents, 59% believe Obama has made America weaker. The Obama administration is now seen as incompetent by many Americans, and they have given us good reason to feel this way. Sixty-eight percent of voters feel Obama's administration is less competent then that of Bill Clinton's. A plurality (48%) believe it to be less competent than the administration of George W. Bush. The good news for President Obama is there is somewhere where his approval ratings have been rising … in the Middle East .

Rogue President?
Barack Obama and his administration's blatant disregard for the rule of law has gone far enough. From ObamaCare to immigration laws, this administration has gone beyond the beyonds of the executive branch, flaunting the rule of law. Obama failing to inform Congress before releasing five Gitmo detainees is yet another example in an already-overflowing bucket of illegal executive actions. It's become, as many have labeled it, an uber presidency. It's dangerous and it must end. There's a reason why our system is set up with separation of powers and checks and balances, and it is to make sure that one branch of government can't run away with too much power. The ends do not justify the means; the process matters in America.

More Prisoners Released
With all the frustrations toward President Obama's foreign policy, we now have news that the White House is actually considering releasing yet another Gitmo detainee. Perhaps they will learn their lesson and give Congress 30 days notice, as the law is written. But even still, the idea of releasing these detainees will not go unchallenged. Already we have Senator Lindsey Graham threatening impeachment should the president continue down a path of releasing Gitmo detainees. In the case of Bowe Bergdahl and the Taliban Five, Barack Obama seems to have taken things a step further, overriding the intelligence community within his own executive branch. According to a report from TIME Magazine, "To pull off the prisoner swap of five Taliban leaders for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the White House overrode an existing interagency process charged with debating the transfer of Guantanamo Bay prisoners and dismissed long-standing Pentagon and intelligence community concerns based on Top Secret intelligence about the dangers of releasing the five men." The article goes on to say, "Obama's move was an ultimate victory for those at the White House and the State Department who had previously argued the military should 'suck it up and salute,' says the official familiar with the debate." Glad to hear the White House has such high respect for our military.
