Ceasefire Crumbles
Another ceasefire in Gaza broke down just hours after it was announced by John Kerry and UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon.

According to the New York Times, the ceasefire ended when "two soldiers were killed and a third appeared to have been captured by Palestinian militants who emerged from a tunnel near Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip."

John Kerry has been working with the Qataris to try and secure these temporary ceasefires. But it's awfully difficult to imagine how a fair and just ceasefire and solution can be achieved when the Qataris are proving the political and financial backing for Hamas! According to CNSNews, Qatar has also provided a safe haven for Hamas' exiled leader, Khaled Meshaal, since 2012.

But in 2009, John Kerry is quoted as saying, "Qatar can't continue to be an American ally on Monday that sends money to Hamas on Tuesday." It seems as though he had clarity on the issue then. What's changed?

In general, there is a lack of moral clarity on this issue. Hamas is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. It is written into its charter and it is the virtual purpose of its existence. How is it possible to find compromise on that? Meanwhile, Israel is defending itself from those who wish to destroy her while our government is negotiating with the very people supporting those engaged in the destructive.

Outrageous: Bill Clinton
On the day before September 11, 2001, Bill Clinton bragged about having the opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden.

Audio has surfaced of Bill Clinton speaking to an audience in Australia on September 10, 2001. Here's what he had to say: "I'm just saying, you know, if I were Osama bin Laden - he's a very smart guy, I've spent a lot of time thinking about him - and I nearly got him once. I nearly got him. And I could have killed him, but I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him. And so I didn't do it."

It's no secret that Clinton had the opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden on multiple occasions, but to brag about almost killing him the day before September 11, 2001 is extremely unfortunate timing.

What's even more unfortunate is that politicians like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and many on the left seem to have their head in the sand when it comes to true threats to our nation. We can't just keep our heads in the sand and pretend not to see the threats and therefore not doing anything about them. In the end, this will likely result in more violence and instability, as we know was the case with Clinton's hesitation to take out bin Laden.
