5 Examples of Obama's Incompetence ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has put the United States and the world in a dire situation. We have witnessed the rise of the largest, the best funded and the most armed terrorist network in history. ISIS is clearly at war with the United States. Yet U.S. officials have been wishy-washy over whether we are at war with ISIS. What more proof do they need, or are they simply playing word games for the sake of politics? ISIS has beheaded two American journalists, in addition to a British aid worker, its leader al Baghdadi said he would “see you guys in New York,” and it has issued a new threat against the United States. Their goals have ranged anywhere from “manage” to “follow them to the gates of Hell.” 2. Admitting you have no strategy to defeat a growing threat is downright embarrassing and dangerous. Yet this is what President Obama did just a few short weeks ago. 3. Are we at war? This administration has gone to painstaking lengths to avoid using that word to describe our actions in Iraq and Syria. John Kerry and Susan Rice have used numerous other names including “very significant counter-terrorism operation” to describe our actions against ISIS. But on the same day, the White House and the Pentagon were claiming that we were at war with ISIS. This administration can't even get its talking points right. Continue reading... |
