| Dear NR Fans, From time to time we like to get you up to speed about worthwhile books from our writers and friends, and today I'd like to let you know about a forthcoming book by a truly great friend of NR, Dana Perino: It's And the Good News Is … Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side. And it ought to be on your bookshelf. Well, not yet, because And the Good News Is ... won't be out officially until April 21st. But don't let that stop you: Go ahead and pre-order your copy right now, conveniently right here. We love Dana here - she's ever cool to NR, thoughtful, gracious, and pals with our writers. But most importantly, she is a sorely needed happy warrior for America, with a lot to say and a lot to offer. Which may be why And the Good News Is ... is getting a ton of advance praise. For example, Peggy Noonan says "This book is a gem - and moving, clear and unpretentious. It gives the kind of practical and even ethical advice everyone starting out needs, but it's also funny and full of great stories. Dana is a true role model." While Charles Krauthammer proclaims "A lovely memoir, both charming and wise, studded with invaluable life lessons garnered on her fascinating journey to the highest levels of media and government. A wonderful read." Publishing-industry marketers are anonymous but talented souls who slave away crafting excellent copy about books. As is our practice, we'll defer and let them explain why And the Good News Is ... is the great book it is. Take it away, copywriter: From her years as a presidential press secretary to her debates with colleagues on Fox News' The Five, Dana Perino reveals the lessons she's learned that have guided her through life, including stories from behind the scenes at the White House with President George W. Bush that the cameras never captured. Thoughtful, inspiring and often surprising, And the Good News Is ... traces Dana's unlikely journey through politics, the White House, and television. She has an uncanny ability for knowing what to say and how best to say it. A recurring theme in And the Good News Is ... is that planning has never worked for Dana; every time she has made a plan, something unexpected-and often better-has happened. And the Good News Is ... blends a candid self-portrait with advice for allowing one's very best personality traits to shine through, emphasizing that dignity and civility are choices we make for ourselves. My wife and daughter (big big big Dana fans and The Five followers) and I can't wait to get our book (I pre-ordered the signed copy, done easily here, although Dana's website offers a number of convenient pre-order options). You should do the same. In a world of vinegar, Dana Perino offers honey with And the Good News Is … Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side. Pre-order your copy today. She had sued J&J alleging talc in its Baby Powder caused her disease. Johnson & Johnson is attempting to end litigation by tens of thousands of claimants who believe its talc products caused their cancer with a so-called "Texas two-step" bankruptcy. The maneuver involves offloading its talc liability onto a newly created subsidiary, which then declares Chapter 11. The goal is to use the proceeding to force all plaintiffs into one settlement – without requiring J&J itself to file bankruptcy
