Flanagan is the President and Majority Leader of the New York. He is Republican. He was first elected to represent this part of Suffolk County in 2002 and overwhelmingly reelected in 2004- 2014. Scott Stringer served for thirteen years and six terms in the State Assembly - from 1992 until 2005. In 2005 he ran for Manhattan Borough President and won. Mr. Stringer is considered to among the most progressive politicians in the City even surpassing Mayor DeBlasio in that category.
