Numerous studies have shown that Canadians haven't benefited from stricter gun control measures. According to one study, the changes decreased the use of firearms in homicides, but did not affect the total standardized homicide rates. In other words, the same number of Canadians were dying, even though slightly fewer were dying from guns.
