Will we ever be secure?
Dear Fellow Conservative, Strong immigration policy is one of the bedrock foundations that have made the United States exceptional. But today the debate over immigration and border security have become so politically toxic that conservatives are paralyzed on the issue. And the security of Americans like you and me is being held hostage by the open borders agenda of the left as a result. In fact, the liberal "win at all cost" mentality is so extreme that they've voted down legislation that would ban illegal immigrants from voting in local, state, and federal elections. And that's on top of their proposal to lower the voting age to 16! Here at Heritage our guiding principles on immigration are simple:
Here at The Heritage Foundation, we believe that U.S. immigration policy reform needs to be a step-by-step process that solves one issue at a time. We want to see distinct legislative proposals that can be discussed, debated, and passed on their own merits. But in order to continue to develop and share those proposals widely, we need your help. So please click here now to join in on the $5.3 million challenge made by some members of our Board. As someone who's been following Heritage closely, I know that you care deeply about our mission. Activate your Heritage membership before the July 31st cut off and have your gift go farther. Whatever amount you can send, don't delay! All the best, Kay C. James P.S. Fellow Conservative, the left has turned immigration into a political weapon to silence conservatives while expanding their own base. Heritage is fighting for common-sense solutions to secure our country, but we need you to make it happen!
