What are your “True North” principles?

Dear Fellow Conservative,

What are the principles you stand by?

A lot of people have asked me recently what it means to be a conservative. My response to them has been to tell them about my "True North" principles. These are the core beliefs that I will not compromise on.

I believe that free enterprise, limited government, individual liberty, traditional American values, the right to life, and a strong national defense should be the common values that we as conservatives share, and that you and I will never compromise.

In the two years that I've served as Heritage's President, I've met many of our members and supporters. Talking to Heritage members like you always inspires me. Because of our shared values, I know that the conservative movement is still alive and well. Together, we will stand strongly for the future of America and our communities.

But there is so much at stake in 2020. Despite all of the progress you and I have made in advancing prosperity and freedom for all Americans, our core values are still are under threat.

Your support has meant the world to me this year. None of the progress we've made would have been possible without your generosity and support. We are honored to stand with you for a bright future for America.

But everything you have accomplished could all be undone next year if we don't stay vigilant and keep up the fight.

All the best,

Kay C. James
President

P.S. Everything is on the line. In the last three years, nearly two thirds of Heritage's conservative policy proposals have been adopted by the administration. But all that work could be undone next year if we don't work together to stay engaged in the fight. With the end of 2019 closing in, please click this secure link and fight for your principles today!
