Breaking: Trump Legal Team Calls on Congress to ‘Swiftly Reject’ the ‘Rigged’ Impeachment Process in New Filing

President Trump’s legal team on Monday will call on the Senate to "swiftly reject" the articles of impeachment against him, accusing his Democratic political opponents of conducting a “brazenly political” and “rigged process.”

“All that House Democrats have succeeded in proving is hat the President did absolutely nothing wrong,” reads an executive summary of the brief obtained by NPR. The trial brief also accuses House Democrats of “focus-group testing various charges for weeks.”

The 110-page brief is scheduled for filing at noon on Monday.

She had sued J&J alleging talc in its Baby Powder caused her disease. Johnson & Johnson is attempting to end litigation by tens of thousands of claimants who believe its talc products caused their cancer with a so-called "Texas two-step" bankruptcy. The maneuver involves offloading its talc liability onto a newly created subsidiary, which then declares Chapter 11. The goal is to use the proceeding to force all plaintiffs into one settlement – without requiring J&J itself to file bankruptcy
