Fellow Conservative,
You and I were just staring down the worst unemployment rate we've ever seen. The coronavirus had smothered the best economy of our lifetimes, and the crisis threatened to inflict a depression on our country. How did we come back from that?
I think it started here, at Heritage, where we launched the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission. Our best minds worked with people across the business community and alongside former elected officials to offer practical solutions on how to get through this and how to move forward. Now millions of people are going back to work, and America is reopening because 34 states have opened and adopted our 5 key recommendations. That's definitely good news!
Will you stand with Heritage today so we can relaunch the world's strongest economy?
Now for the bad news. Spending was out of control in Washington before, and now the crisis spending will go on top of that, with our debt at $26 trillion. Wasteful government programs have put us in a worse position to respond to an emergency, proving our point as conservatives: debt is a threat to our national security.
I believe in my fellow Americans, and I know they can rise to this challenge, just as they did with the virus. It's up to us to build support for our Blueprint for Balance, which like the Coronavirus Commission, offers solutions when our nation needs them most.
Some members of our Board of Trustees have risen to this occasion by issuing a $2.8 million challenge to our members, so your dollar can go twice as far if you make your best gift by June 30th.

I hope you will help us make history once more, and leave a lasting impact on our nation.
All the best,
Kay C. James

P.S. We can restart the best economy in our history and tackle our debt, but we need you to stand with us. Please make your best gift now by clicking this secure link: https://secured.heritage.org/_2020/board-challenge-2020/
