| Dear friend, This is a pivotal moment for our nation. Our cities are being burned, police demonized, historical statues torn down, and American history is being rewritten before our very eyes. Our founder, William F. Buckley Jr., famously wrote that National Review "stands athwart history yelling, Stop!" In the face of communist threats and socialist fads, our enterprise has always boldly defended American Exceptionalism and the great principles our nation was founded on—including liberty, equality, and rule of law. In this pivotal moment, I'm sure you'll agree our country needs principled NR voices, perhaps more than ever before. We need Andrew C. McCarthy making the case for the rule of law amid social unrest and lawlessness. We need Victor Davis Hanson exposing the dangers of woke ideology and today's cultural revolutions. We need Andrew Stuttaford defending our free market system which has created maximum opportunity for human flourishing for all Americans. We need Kathryn Jean Lopez reminding us of the importance of gratitude and the role of faith, especially now in an increasingly hostile environment. And we need you to join us in defending the America that we know and love. NRI supports the abovementioned writers and other top journalists at NR and creates educational programs to preserve and promote the Buckley legacy.
