Fellow Conservative,
The nation faces all kinds of challenges today—and needs conservative policy solutions to those challenges more than ever. That's why I'm emailing you now.
On this day 48 years ago, The Heritage Foundation opened its doors. 1973 was a hard year for America: the Vietnam war had just ended, the Cold War still simmered, and the Watergate scandal was in full swing, creating deep uncertainty in the nation.
America weathered those challenges, and has changed a lot since then. Heritage, however, has stayed true to its principles, and has spoken up loud and clear for them since the day we were founded all those years ago. Since our founding we have not only thought tactically but also strategically about how to preserve freedom in this country. We're here to make sure that no matter what's happening in the nation, that freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society continue to flourish.
