Why are Democrats not as patriotic as Republicans?

I wrote this as a comment; I’m changing it to make it an answer.

I have to believe that the majority of non-political Democrats, working class people who vote Democrat, believe the Democrat Party is still the party of John Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, and even Bill Clinton, a party which does its best for the working class and the poor in America. The leftist media does its best to foster this belief. IT IS NOT THE PARTY OF JOHN KENNEDY OR JIMMY CARTER TODAY.

The Democrat Party has been taken over by elitists, so wealthy that they view our country and its citizens as nothing more than a playfield for their experiment in building a global world, one without borders (without borders, a country doesn’t exist) and one in which they level our country and our people to that of a third world country. The politicians in control of the Democrat Party despise our nationalism, our feeling that we have an exceptionally great country that helps other countries in times of tragedies like earthquakes and floods and famine. IMO, they know they are going against their elected duty, which makes them resent us and our country even more. I believe this resentment has reached the point where they hate the USA and hope to destroy us.

The extremely wealthy have different goals from lower and middle class working families, but I think the main difference between the Democrat elite and the Republican elite is the extremely wealthy Republicans want to do as much as possible for working Americans as they can WITHOUT LOSING ANY OF THEIR OWN WEALTH. The Republicans have no desire to destroy our economy or our country. In fact, if steps are taken as President Trump did to lower unemployment, improve lives, stand up for our country against other countries, people are happy, our country is financially solvent, and nobody worries about taking money from rich Republicans.

I loved JFK, but I have been an Independent who voted Republican since LBJ, and have been a registered Republican for over 20 years. People may have personally disliked President Trump’s brash way of speaking, his ego, his lack of “political expertise” but he stood up for the US citizenry and put our country first before other countries. That is what the elected leader of every country is supposed to do: put their country and their citizens first.
