Fwd: You're training conservative leaders

Fellow Conservative,

I hope you saw Alex's note below. He's right. We don't always take the time to share success stories with you from these training opportunities—such as our Young Leaders Program.

So I'd like to change that and start by sharing one story with you now. You deserve to hear about this because it's your support that makes any of these leadership and training programs possible.

If you're not familiar with the Young Leaders Program at Heritage, YLP gives interns the opportunity to spend 12 weeks to learn from experts, attend lectures covering America's founding values and principles, access weekly policy briefings, and take part in valuable networking.

One of these YLP interns—author and businessman John Coleman—was just recognized last month with the Distinguished Intern Alumni Award for his outstanding accomplishments in the business community and his consistent work to advance conservative ideas and policies.

Now, John is managing partner at Sovereign's Capital, a values-driven private equity and venture capital firm. And he's held a variety of leadership positions at other organizations. In addition, he's a frequent speaker and writer, and he has even authored three books.

But what I like most about John's story is the way he gives back to his community. John has a passion for education, and despite his busy schedule, he has taken time to serve on a number of boards related to both K-12 and higher education.

Fellow Conservative, I think you would agree that this is the kind of leadership we need throughout our country.

That's why I'm hoping you'll renew your support to train nearly a thousand young leaders—including Capitol Hill staffers—to be prepared for the leadership positions of tomorrow.

With the Radical Left working to expand government control and promote cancel culture, it is critical to develop leaders like John to defend our conservative principles now—and in the future.

But it's only your support that allows us to invest time in advancing our shared ideas and values with future leaders of the conservative movement.

Will you invest in future conservative leaders like John today by making a tax-deductible year-end gift?

If so, you can use this secure link to make your gift now: https://secured.heritage.org/year-end-campaign/

Andrew P. McIndoe

P.S. The success of the next generation of conservative leaders depends on your support. Make your year-end gift by using this secure link now: https://secured.heritage.org/year-end-campaign/

Subject: You're training conservative leaders

Dear Andrew,

I hope you're enjoying your weekend! I'm wrapping up a few things at work before I shift gears into wrapping up some last minute presents, but I wanted to send you a quick note.

My team and I realized recently that there's some parts of our work that we don't tell you about often enough.

While you may be familiar with Heritage's work through our media appearances, podcasts, or research we also pride ourselves on being the leader in training and educational programming for conservatives.

We give students and young professionals a basic foundation in conservative thought and help them gain essential career skills be successful in public policy.

We equip civic leaders with the knowledge to engage more confidently in policy debates on vital issues.

We train staffers, speechwriters, and policy makers how to effectively articulate their conservative principles and policy solutions.

We use our Resource Bank to reach out and circulate different job openings and events across the conservative movement—and this year alone have placed more than 100 professionals in D.C. jobs.

And we're able to offer many of these programs for free because of the support of our generous members.

Thank you for your support.

Best,

Alexander Hyatt
