The average price of a gallon of regular gas hit a record $5.05 in the New York City

The average price of a gallon of regular gas hit a record $5.05 in the New York City metro area this week. Three-quarters of Americans are expected to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday, and among them, 84% expect inflation to interfere with their plans.

George Santos is a Republican running for Congress in New York's Third Congressional District:

  • American families are pulling back their expectations and dialing back their observances this Memorial Day weekend because of the failed policies bringing us surging inflation.

  • In Queens and Nassau county, AAA reports the average prices to range from 5.374 to 4.952 which means NY-03 is paying some of the highest gas prices in the nation.

  • The arrogant messaging from Biden and short-sightedness is reminiscent of Marie Antoinette callously sniffing “let them eat cake.” No different than Joe Biden basically saying “let them buy an electric car for $60,000.”

  • Biden is out here touting this colossal failure as an 'incredible transition' to a green economy, This is sick and twisted as the POTUS gets behind his podium and lies in the face of the American public. Americans are no longer able to save money, they're behind on their mortgage payments and paying an extra 5,000.00 a year in inflated expenses. Yet, the Biden Administration cannot take an ounce of blame.

  • Common sense solutions are sitting on President Biden’s desk. With the wave of a pen and his signature, he could make the American Energy Independence Act of 2022 the law of the land. I am calling on Congress to prioritize this bill. I’m not optimistic. You shouldn’t be either. Instead of working to lower gas prices, Congress just held hearings on UFOs.  Energy independence is the only intelligent solution to strengthen our country and lower gas prices. Public servants of all political parties must stop the Biden Administration’s slow slide into dereliction and promote a return to President Trump’s “America First” philosophy of energy independence. Until that happens, expect to pay more to fill your tank for quite some time, long past Memorial Day.

About George:

A first-generation Latino immigrant, he would be the first gay Republican to be elected to office making his platform hysterically antithetical to liberal logic. He takes bold jabs at AOC and Co., Biden, and Kathy Hochul regularly and has over 18k followers on Twitter.

With his wicked sense of humor, Santos takes on a wide variety of issues. He is a seasoned Wall Street financier and investor, with extensive work in capital introduction, real estate, capital markets, biotech, etc. He participated in landmark deals on Wall Street and worked his way up to being one of the youngest vice presidents in the industry.

In 2020, he has announced the Candidate-elect for New York's Third Congressional District on election day. He attended Congressional Orientation and still holds his orientation badge to this day. It was not until about 2 weeks after election day, that he got a phone call saying that his Democrat opponent won the election, thanks to partisan tactics by New York State.

P.S:
George's story speaks volumes about today's issues politically and socially, George is the most easy-going and funny candidate I've ever worked with.
