Then, things took a strange turn when a man with X-Wing fighters on his shirt asked me to thank billionaire Richard Branson, and the day ended with discussions of Venezuelans fighting Russia, and the plans for a Ronald Reagan statue in Kyiv. Yes, I realize that sentence makes it sound like I've been consuming LSD. Life takes a lot of sudden and unpredictable turns in the capital city of a country at war with Russia.
