Harris pushed for illegal immigrant to practice law in California . . . VP Kamala Harris, while serving as California's attorney general, sided with an illegal immigrant's bid to acquire a license to practice law in a move that was opposed by the Obama administration. Harris, who is expected to visit the southern border this week, supported in a 2012 Supreme Court brief the desire for 35-year-old illegal immigrant Sergio Garcia to be granted a law degree by the State Bar of California, arguing that the government could not block him from doing so. Apparently the irony of practicing law while also breaking it was missed here.
Google search favors Harris over Trump . . . Google has featured Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign website in a more desirable location on its search engine results than former President Trump's official site, according to a new study by conservative-leaning Media Research Center. "Google is trying to stack the deck in favor of Kamala Harris," Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell told Fox News Digital. "Google's search engine pushes left-wing media articles favoring Kamala Harris and slamming Donald Trump," he added. Fox News
Manchin not endorsing Harris after she calls for abortion filibuster carve-out: 'Shame on her' . . . Manchin, a centrist senator who has fought to maintain the filibuster, had indicated supporting Harris's bid for president after he left the Democratic Party earlier this year, but he said Tuesday that removing the filibuster would be a mistake. "I have been consistent on the importance of protecting the 60-vote threshold, which we call the filibuster, since I arrived at the United States Senate. This threshold stabilizes our democracy, promotes bipartisan cooperation, and protects our nation from partisan whiplash and dysfunction," Manchin said in a statement. Washington Examiner
Trump sets his sights on deep-blue New York . . . Former President Trump is homing in on deep-blue New York, a state seen as critical to determining who controls the House next year. Trump has made multiple campaigns stops to the Empire State, including a rally on Long Island last week that featured a vulnerable House GOP member up for reelection. Republicans doubt the former president will defeat Vice President Harris in New York, but they say his frequent appearances could juice enthusiasm among the base and help the party keep control of its razor-thin majority in the lower chamber. The Hill
Every minute he spends trying to win New York is a wasted minute. And there aren't a lot of minutes left.

Momodou Taal, a graduate student from the U.K., said he faces deportation back to Britain over his participation in a rowdy anti-Israel protest last week that shut down a career fair attended by defense contractors, including Boeing and L3Harris. It was the second suspension for Mr. Taal, 30, described as a leader of the pro-Palestinian protests that have roiled the university since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israeli civilians, which prompted Israel to declare war. 'There's IDs everywhere': How illegal immigrants erase their identities at the border . . . One of the things that most shocks visitors to smuggling routes along the U.S.-Mexico border is the proliferation of IDs. Passports, identity cards and other documents are strewed on the ground, cast aside by illegal immigrants who are erasing their old lives as they slip across the border to try to capitalize on more relaxed immigration policies to gain a foothold in the U.S. Washington Times

Trump calls for 'New American Industrialism' . . . Trump called his economic policies "new American industrialism," where the focus will be on bringing offshored manufacturing jobs back to the United States. The 45th president said that, for years, other countries have stripped American jobs and wealth, but added he would "put America first." He said that under his leadership "American workers will no longer be worried about losing [their] jobs to foreign nations. Instead, foreign nations will be worried about losing their jobs to America." Daily Signal
Bosses are firing Gen Z workers in record time . . . Six in ten employers had already fired some college graduates they had recruited earlier in the year, a survey conducted by Intelligent.com found. One in seven employers said they also might not hire fresh college grads next year after finding a raft of problems with young workers. Business leaders listed concerns in areas such as communications skills and professionalism. They also said the workers of that age are often unmotivated and need to be constantly told what to do - rather than using their initiative - is another issue. Daily Mail
If you've ever had the pleasure of working with a Gen Z, you understand exactly why they are being fired.

California sues Exxon for promoting falsehood that recycling works . . . California Attorney General Rob Bonta sued ExxonMobil, claiming the oil and petrochemical giant had engaged "in a decades-long campaign of deception" about the effectiveness of recycling. The first-of-its-kind lawsuit seeks to hold the company responsible for the plastic pollution crisis. It argues that, since at least 1988, ExxonMobil has blanketed the state in marketing and advertising to convince people plastic is being recycled, making them more likely to buy it. Washington Post
