Obama warns 'brothers' who won't vote for Kamala that sexism could cost her election . . . Barack Obama accused black male voters who refuse to support Kamala Harris of sexism and demanded they get on board with the Democrat nominee. The former president was at a campaign field office in Pittsburgh to thank volunteers, but instead gave them a lecture, saying he wanted to 'speak some truths.' He continued: 'Part of it makes me think - and I´m speaking to men directly - part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren´t feeling the idea of having a woman as president . . . 'You're coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses. I've got a problem with that.' Daily Mail
Does he think black men are going to respond to being lectured by him?

"I don't know what the f--- you thinking voting for Kamala! She's a puppet, y'all" he said on Monday. "She has zero experience! Nobody respects her on the world stage." Fox News

Desantis provides history lesson to reporter who tries to link Milton with global warming . . . "Oh, I think most people remember 2004 where it seemed like you had them every other week in 2004," DeSantis said. "Then there's also time periods, you know, we had from 2006 to '16, we had no hurricanes at all in Florida. There's also been times where we had a lot. The 1940s, we were getting hit a lot. Now more recently, we've had a spade of more. So that's just kind of the nature of it. But this really does have a lot of similarities to 2004 in terms of the season." Daily Caller
If you noticed in the vice presidential debate, CBS moderator Norah O'Donnell presupposed a link between Helene and climate change. For the press, it's simply accepted as fact that global warming causes these hurricanes.
The Ex-Soros Executive Who Is Trump's New Obsession . . . "One of the most brilliant men on Wall Street." "Respected by everybody." "A nice-looking guy, too." This is how former President Donald Trump recently described Scott Bessent, a little-known hedge-fund manager, onetime Al Gore supporter and George Soros's former top investor. Bessent, founder of the investment firm Key Square Capital Management, caught the former president's attention last year when he publicly backed Trump as many peers in the finance world were still coalescing around Nikki Haley. Speaker Johnson slams door on Congress returning for disaster aid . . . President Joe Biden on Thursday said lawmakers should return to Capitol Hill "immediately" from their preelection recess, echoing pleas from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers from the afflicted states. Johnson and top appropriators insist the agency can manage just fine — for now — with the $20.3 billion that Congress freed up for it late last month. Politico

The footage, seemingly shot through a McDonald's window, shows about a half dozen assailants kicking and punching Anthony Sliwa while he is on the ground as Paterson, 70, tries to pull them away. Paterson, who is legally blind, has said he was slugged by one youngster and punched him back. New York Post

Iran successfully intimidates US allies into not helping Israel . . . The Arab officials said the countries that Iran has threatened include Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, all of which host U.S. troops. These states have told the Biden administration that they don't want their military infrastructure or airspace to be used by the U.S. or Israel for any offensive operations against Iran, the officials said. "Seriously, it's 2024," Judith Collins told reporters Thursday. "What the hell's going on here?" After Years of Increases, Companies Are Rolling Back Prices . . . Retailers, restaurants and other companies spent years lifting prices. Now that consumers are closing their pocketbooks, some companies are turning to discounts to win back business. Businesses that sell a range of products from IKEA sofas to Air Jordan sneakers have said in recent weeks that they have lowered prices this year. In part, that is because many companies increased prices rapidly in preceding years when supply chain and labor costs rose, and flush consumers were willing to pay more. Wall Street Journal

Obama's Trump diaper joke backfires for reason that should have been obvious . . . Obama, 63, recalled that he couldn't believe how expensive diapers were when he became a parent. Social media was not amused, with at least one X user making an ironic reference to the president's former running mate: 'Obama would know about changing diapers. He does for Joe.' Daily Mail
