Democrats start to point fingers even as they hope for Harris win . . . Fingers are being pointed at Harris and her campaign when it comes to disappointment over her messaging, particularly on the economy. But some Democrats have already looked to pin the blame on President Biden, who some think took too long to step aside. "People are nervous and they're trying to cover their ass and get a little ahead of Election Day," one Democratic strategist said of the sniping. "We didn't have a traditional process for this election. We didn't have a primary. People just had to fall in line," the strategist added, saying "it's not surprising to me" that some of the blame game is happening even before Election Day. The Hill

Donald Trump wears garbage worker vest to rally in critical swing state . . . The day after President Joe Biden called his supporters "garbage," Donald Trump addressed several thousand supporters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, while wearing a garbage worker high visibility vest. Trump explained that his decision to arrive at the rally in a dump truck, dressed in a garbage vest, was made spur of the moment. He joked that the vest made him look thinner and quipped that the vest could become part of his everyday attire. "When they said I'd look thinner, I said in that case, I'll wear it onstage," he joked. "I may never wear a blue jacket again." Fox News

Republicans accuse White House of releasing 'false transcript' of Biden's 'garbage' remarks . . . House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer accuse the White House of releasing a false transcript of President Biden's remarks in which he apparently referred to supporters of former President Trump as "garbage," warning that the revision could violate the Presidential Records Act. Fox News Digital obtained a letter Stefanik, R-N.Y., and Comer, R-Ky., sent to White House counsel Edward Siskel Wednesday afternoon in which they demand that records relating to the remarks and the transcript are preserved. Supreme Court allows Virginia to remove suspected noncitizens from voter rolls . . . The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Virginia to remove some 1,600 names of suspected noncitizens from its voter rolls before Tuesday's elections. The 6-3 ruling put on hold lower court decisions that found the state's purge violated federal law and ordered Virginia to restore the names to its lists. The names can remain off the rolls while the case proceeds through the courts, the justices said. It marked a major early victory for conservatives in what court watchers expect to be a tsunami of election-related cases in the coming weeks. Washington Times
Black turnout is lagging in North Carolina, a warning sign for Harris . . . Early vote numbers in North Carolina show the electorate skewing older and whiter, compared to the state's voter registration, a red flag for Democrats who need Black voters to turn out in heavy numbers if Kamala Harris is going to flip this state. As of Wednesday, Black voters make up 18 percent of the electorate in early voting, and some Democratic operatives said they must bump that up to about 20 percent for Harris to be competitive statewide. ABC station mistakenly airs election results declaring Harris winner of key swing state . . . An ABC station ignited a flurry of conspiracy theories after it aired what appeared to be official election results for Pennsylvania that showed Kamala Harris easily winning the key swing state — more than a week before Election Day. The shocking result popped up at the bottom of the screen during Sunday's broadcast of the Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix by ABC local affiliate WNEP-TV, which serves the northern part of the Keystone State. It showed the vice president capturing 52% of the votes, compared to 47% for Republican challenger Donald Trump, with 100% of the precincts reporting. New York Post
Bill Clinton says economy was better under Trump . . . Former President Bill Clinton said the "economy was better" under former President Donald Trump during a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, adding that people should still vote for Harris. "I don't think it's right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better then," Clinton said in what rallygoers seemingly perceived as a pro-Trump slip, as the 42nd president's remark elicited groans from the audience. Hundreds of former national security officials endorse Trump . . . More than 200 retired Department of Homeland Security officials signed onto an open letter endorsing former President Donald Trump, arguing he's the only candidate who will enforce border security. The Biden-Harris administration enacted policies that "systematically dismantled" a border enforcement apparatus that prevented crime at the U.S.-Mexico border and across the country, according to numerous retired Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other DHS officials who have spent a career in the field. Biden struggling to raise cash for presidential library . . . The problem stems, in part, from Biden's weakness as a fundraiser, with the president reportedly unwilling to partake in fundraising tactics such as inviting mega-donors to spend the night at the White House, the outlet reported. Some donors have stated they won't make decisions until the result of the November election is clear, with some also noting continued animosity and confusion due to Biden's early exit from the 2024 presidential race and his short-lived re-election campaign more broadly. He already has a rest stop named for him in Delaware off of I-95. But still, he wants more.
'Biden Bucks' Could Change Elections Forever . . . The Biden-Harris administration has seemingly hatched a plan to structurally alter the election so that Democrats maintain power. With little fanfare in March 2021, President Joe Biden signed an executive order directing the agencies of the federal government to increase involvement in American elections by helping to register voters and turn out the vote. The implementation of Biden's Executive Order 14019, however, has been anything but neutral. Daily Signal

A newly revised Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility strategy for the Central Intelligence Agency promises to put diversity at the center of promotion decisions and attempt to solidify programs to withstand changing administrations, according to internal documents and a public presentation by senior agency diversity official. "We see it as the core of our mission," CIA's Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Jerry Laurienti, said of DEI in a presentation earlier this year. Just the News

Arctic menace: Chinese, Russian operations off coast of Alaska . . . Rear Adm. Megan Dean, the commander of the 17th Coast Guard District, reported earlier this month that China has demonstrated increased interest in the Arctic where—for the first time—China's coast guard has been operating in the Bering Sea, not far from the coast of Alaska. Two Chinese coast guard vessels, accompanied by two Russian border guard patrol vessels, were observed by the U.S. Coast Guard near the maritime boundary between the U.S. and Russia. Daily Signal
Trump allies draw up plans targeting legal immigration . . . Behind the scenes, his closest advisers and allies are also drawing up plans that would restrict many forms of legal immigration, some of which could affect the ability of businesses to hire foreign workers. Outside advisers including Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump's immigration agenda when he was in the White House, and such groups as the America First Policy Institute have been preparing executive orders, regulations and memos for a future homeland security secretary to sign that would narrow legal ways to migrate. Gunman who shot Jewish man walking to Synagogue is an illegal alien . . . The gunman who allegedly shot a Jewish man walking to a Chicago synagogue on Saturday is an illegal immigrant who was caught and released into the country last year, according to Fox News's Bill Melugin. The suspect, who police identified as 22-year-old Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, is reportedly a Mauritanian national who was apprehended in Border Patrol's San Diego sector in March 2023 before being released. More than 15,000 people from Mauritania, a predominantly Muslim country in northwest Africa, entered the United States last year. Daily Wire

Trump told Netanyahu he wants Gaza war over by the time he takes office . . . Former US president Donald Trump has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he wants Israel to wrap up the war in Gaza by the time he returns to office if he wins the election, two sources familiar with the matter revealed to The Times of Israel this week. The message was first conveyed when the Republican presidential nominee hosted the Israeli premier at his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort in July, according to a former Trump administration official and an Israeli official. Trump wasn't specific in his appeal to Netanyahu and could well back "residual" IDF activity in Gaza, so long as Jerusalem has officially ended the war. Times of Israel
Britain cranks up taxes by $52B and gambles on growth . . . U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has gone hard with his government's first program of tax and spend as he places his faith in higher growth. Wednesday's budget, laid out by his finance chief Rachel Reeves, set out $52B billion in taxes — the highest tax take introduced by a British chancellor since comparable records began. It was the first budget presented by Labour after being out of government for 14 years. It was also a first chance for the country to see how the party would actually deliver on its promise of "change." Politico

Volkswagon hits net-zero wall, laying off thousands . . . Politicians predictably are blaming management, with some cause. A bigger share of the blame lies with politicians, however, especially for their climate policies. Germany's auto industry is trapped in a vise between higher energy prices that drive up the cost of production, and electric-vehicle mandates that drive down sales. VW is cracking under the pressure. Yankees blow 5-run lead with epic defensive meltdown as Dodgers rally to clinch World Series . . . Just when it appeared Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees were right back in this World Series, they all but gave away the trophy. An epic meltdown of defensive miscues, beginning with Judge's embarrassing error in center field, helped the Los Angeles Dodgers rally in a five-run fifth inning that tied the score at 5. Young shortstop Anthony Volpe and ace pitcher Gerrit Cole also committed costly mistakes. New York's bullpen squandered a one-run lead in the eighth, and the Dodgers held on for a 7-6 victory Wednesday night in Game 5 that wrapped up their eighth championship and second in five years. Biden bites three babies at the White House Halloween party . . . President Joe Biden bizarrely bit three babies as he greeted the children of staff to his final Halloween party at the White House. Biden - infamous for his playful interaction with children at public events - also feigned fright at the creepy costumes of his young visitors alongside his wife Jill who was dressed in a full-body panda suit. The 81-year-old president was pictured biting the leg of a baby dressed as a turkey, chomping the toe of a child in an ice cream cone costume and nibbling at a third baby wearing a blue dress.
